A downtown Casper bookshop with a taste for the dreadful.
The Dreadful Bookshop opened in downtown Casper, Wyoming in June 2025. It is a women-owned business run by Trinity, built for readers who like their shelves strange, eerie, tense, and beautifully unsettling.
Used, new, and always a little uncanny.
The in-person shop offers used and new horror, thriller, true crime, dark history, sci-fi, YA, kids' books, and horror merchandise. Most used books are in good condition, and publisher overstocks may be listed as used like-new.
Online inventory is intentionally smaller than the in-store collection for now, with sales and checkout continuing through Square.
